Celebrating GRL PWR on Intl Women's Day

Updated: Nov 6, 2019

Though Women's Day is not so widespread in popularity here in the States, this special day marks a worldwide reminder of how amazing women have and continue to be. Just recently, I came across this collection, created by Express x Olivia Culpo, whose theme was centered around female empowerment. I decided to get the two piece set with the accompanying "GRL PWR" crop top. When wearing these items, you feel as if your representing and reminding the world of the timeless definition of girl power. It's fascinating how the term transcends age barriers through its uplifting usage of the word "power".

With that said, I feel that females who embody the idea behind the term "girl power" are special because they are: audacious, independent, fearlessly emotional, courageous, compassionate, and strong-willed. GRL PWR is all about defining your own terms, supporting the success and ideas of others (especially other females), and feeling confident in who you are. It's all about blending the attributes of determination and fierceness with the equally important emotional attributes, such as, gratitude and genuine kindness. Though I can't speak for all females, I do know that I feel most "powerful" when I have a balance between vulnerability and a headstrong spirit, and when these two things sprout about a naturally positive lens of viewing the world. I am highly interested in learning about what makes YOU feel powerful and how your relationship with GRL PWR has evolved over time, so feel free to share that with me in the comments section below!

Sending lots of love to all women around the world. Remember that you are forever unique and inspirational, and that true beauty can only be fostered and cultivated from within.

Love always and forever,

Vale
