I am a sucker for dainty cafes, restaurants, and pastry shops that have a unique history and a thoughtful aesthetic display. Therefore, going to Pasticceria Marchesi was a must on my list of things to do while living in Milano.
Andrew, Quirien and I had an afternoon tea date together, where we went to the Marchesi location at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (located right on top of the Prada store). As expected, this was such a lovely and memorable experience; definitely worth doing at least one time.
I ordered a Japanese green tea with a chocolate and fruit infused torta. Andrew ordered a "sea breeze" cocktail with some pastries and Quirien got a latte macchiato. We got seated right next to the window, which overlooked the center of the galleria.
The view, ambience and delicious pastry/beverage items made it hard to leave, but I can't wait to return and try their "Colazione Marchesi".
